The one with black grips is a plum slide. They come out too plum, nice pistol though. They tried to match the natural plum color that occurs in the original bluing. There is a lot of variation with regards to markings on these pistols. Notice too that this one has a manufacture date on it while your earlier one doesn't. None of that matters with regards to value though. On the one shown here, the frame stamps were filled with a silver foil while the slide stamps were filled in with a copper colored foil. When the slide was refinished, the foil in the stamp was destroyed. Originally, they looked like this: IIRC, the stamps were filled in with some sort of foil material. Your slide was most likely refinished at some point that's why your markings on it are blued. For some reason, some pistols had that stamp ground off. That mark is the equivalent of a WWII Waffenamt. Mine now has a nice patina and I wouldn't trade it for anything. In case you can't tell, I'm a HUGE HK fan (classic, innovative HK, not the new crap).
